Have been considering flogging off my 2 guitars for a while now, this post brought the idea back to mind.

Les Paul Standard honey Burst 94 and a Fender Mustang from 66, both leftys.

Seems like an awful shame if i ever to become an international superstar but I suppose i can alway buy them back at that point.

@jammer5

Ouch, rough break on having to sell off that way. Especially one of that series of SGs!

I do love Ovations - have an Ovation 5-string bass with a superb sound.

@Mum

Offered it to a couple of friends who play, then went the Craigslist route - no bites either way, so I took it to our local Guitar Center store.

I do know the feeling of giving up a guitar that's been an old friend for many years. I had a Gibson SG w/vibrato (that was a classic) I'd carried with me since Guam. Had to sell it when my family moved to California when I was married. Seemed my wife thought my music was interfering with the marriage. Rather than fight about it, I sold all my guitars and amps. We split up three years later.

I now have an Ovation Ultra and a Schecter diamond series I play through a cube 30 amp. In an odd bit of luck, I found my old Peavey Musician amp at a friend of mine. Bought it back for $75. The amp is guaranteed for life. I called Peavey, told the guy about my amp, which he stated wasn't guaranteed for life, until he checked the serial number. He seems to think I have the last one out there. I bought it in 1973 here in Wichita. It had a four twelve speaker cab, but it's long gone.

Awww...I bet you're sad! Good decision though. Did you put her on eBay or Craigslist or has she gone to a friend? Hopefully the latter so you get to give her a little strum sometimes :o)
