And one more state comes through! Well done to Vermont’s state legislature. For all of the economic misery which is being heaped upon us each day, it is still an inspirational time.

This is perhaps less surprising from Vermont than many other states, since it is very much a progressive state. I hope to see a similarly bold initiative pass in New York someday soon.
So who’s next? Maine, Rhode Island, Minnesota and New Hampshire all have legislation pending that would do the same. And perhaps there is hope yet that Proposition 8 will be overturned in California. With each new blow struck for equality, the arguments against it become less and less tenable. |
I hadn’t intended to post on the same subject twice in a row like this – but two pieces of good news in such quick succession are hard to ignore.
