Two more shootings on college campuses today, at Northern Arizona University and at Texas Southern University.

I refuse to just say, as the victims’ elected representatives seem content to do, that my thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families; that is not enough and never will be enough. For what it’s worth, I know there are responsible gun owners, home defense, hunting etc. and those people are not typically part of the problem. I’m not saying we should ban guns, but I think if we’re going to keep the Second Amendment, we have a constitutional duty to abide by the words ‘well-regulated’ in that Amendment rather than just the words ‘shall not be infringed’.

America can do better than this. America deserves better than this.
